 NEXT ORDER early October to mid November 2025       for airfreight TBA, with the backup/overflow date to be the following day when date is advised.

Back up date is used in the event chicks are not available on time from the hatchery or there are issues at the cargo drop off point, Please keep this in mind when placing your order

Canceled orders may attract a cancellation fee of 8% this covers merchant services.

Our day-old broiler chicks are the ideal choice for anyone looking to raise high-quality, homegrown meat birds. These fast-growing chickens are ready for processing in as little as 6 to 9 weeks, depending on feed and management. With proper care, they can reach:

Many of our customers successfully raise their own chicken for as little as $4.80–$5.80 per kg processed, making these birds a cost-effective, sustainable choice for homegrown meat production.

Brooding & Rearing Requirements

• Heat Source: These chicks require a heat source for the first 4 weeks and should be housed in a warm, draft-free brooder inside a shed, garage, or similar enclosure.
• Transition to Outdoor Housing: From 4 weeks old, they can move to a chicken tractor or secure outdoor pen. They must have full cover from rain and protection from damp conditions, as broilers are more sensitive to cold and wet weather than other poultry breeds.

Important Welfare Information

Once chicks are received, their care and welfare become the responsibility of the purchaser. If there are any concerns regarding chick quality, please notify us within 24 hours so we can assess the situation on a case-by-case basis.

We will post shipping updates on the Facebook group as chicks are shipped, you will also find the facebook group a great place to learn from and share with other poultry growers.

Please note all orders are combined into one consignment per airport for freight. There needs to be a minimum of 90 chicks going into a destination for the consignment to be sent, if the minimum is not met, we will advise the customers for that airport and give them the option to increase their orders or pay the extra freight required. 10 chicks minimum per order.

Whitianga has a minimum chick count of 35 chicks for viable shipping.
